MOSAIC
An immersive concert experience in which collaborators from a wide spectrum of artistic disciplines came together to unite classical music, jazz, contemporary improvisation, visual art, spoken word, and dance, all while pushing the boundaries of the expected performer/audience relationship.
MOSAIC took place in two parts. The first half was comprised of three smaller group pieces that were performed repeatedly in different locations as the audience cycled through them. The second half was one longer piece, derived from the three short pieces, that brought all of the performers together into one space. This piece served as a commentary on immigration in the United States and the process of piecing an artistic work together.
This was a work commissioned by the New England Conservatory NOVA Fellows that was performed on December 15th, 2019 in the Plimpton Shattuck Black Box Theatre at New England Conservatory (Boston, MA).
